Announcing the Peter-Family Email List

Dear PETER / PETERS / PIERRE cousins, related families, possible relatives, and friends,

There has been a groundswell of renewed interest in our shared history and so many new family contacts that I cannot keep track of all of you anymore! Per conversations with some of the cousins, I have been given the push I needed to finally establish a mailing list just for us. (Thanks Dave and Patrick.)

The Peter-Family mailing list is created specifically as a means for the descendents of André PIERRE [ b. 1808 Jamoigne / Les Bulles, Belgium d. 1893 Leopold, IN ] and Marie Elisabeth GRAVE(t/s) [ b. 1832 Jamoigne / Les Bulles, Belgium d. 1882 Leopold, IN ] to more easily exchange information about their shared family roots. In addition, the Peter-Family list welcomes all related (and possibly related) families, of which there are many, as well as persons tracing their roots to Leopold, Indiana.

Among the purposes of the list:
- Exchanging genealogy information.
- Sharing family stories.
- Discussing Leopold, Indiana and Perry County history and culture.
- Exploring the history and culture of Jamoigne, Les Bulles, and other communities of the Semois Valley; the Province of Luxembourg, and Belgium as a whole.
- Exchanging recipes related to our Belgian or Hoosier roots.
- Recalling traditions related to our Belgian or Hoosier roots.
